In a bit of a surprise, GAME FREAK made an appearance at the Xbox Games Showcase this year to reveal their latest game.
It’s called Beast of Reincarnation, and it takes place in a post-apocalyptic Japan. You play as Emma, somebody known as The Blighted One, as she sets out on an adventure with a loyal canine companion named Koo.
The game is describe as an expansive RPG built around demanding and technical combat.
And yes, while GAME FREAK make the Pokemon games for Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, they still do their own thing every now and then.
Beast of Reincarnation is due in 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and PC. A PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 release have yet to be confirmed.
