The Nintendo Switch 2 is finally out this week and it comes in a standard bundle that costs $696 as well as in a bundle with Mario Kart World for $766, which is definitely the one that most people are picking up. 5c6m2b
The reason for this is that it works out a lot cheaper to spend the extra $70 and get Mario Kart World (a game that most will want to own) bundled in rather than spending the extra $125 on it separately.
Speaking to a lot of friends this week who are waiting until Christmas to pick-up this bundle, I was quickly reminded of the fact that this is a limited time bundle that will be phased out in Spring (September-November) at the absolute latest.
Nintendo were very clear both in the initial Nintendo Direct and on all listings for this bundle that this a limited time promotion that will be available until Spring or until stock sells out, so I’d expect this to be available for a handful of shipments before Nintendo reverts back to the standalone unit.
“Limited time production through spring 2025 (available while supplies last).” states the Australian Nintendo Switch 2 website.
This is also the case for other markets across the world, where I expect it to sell out a lot quicker just based on the fact that stock seems to be selling a lot faster than it is in Australia.
Without doubt the no-brainers for me are the two starter packs.
If protection is what you’re after, there’s a massive range of screen protectors and cases:
There’s also a bunch of grips and magnetic charging stand that I absolutely love the look of:
