With Computex 2024 in full swing, MSI has debuted a number of exciting new technologies, including its latest innovations in gaming and business monitors.
New Dual Mode And AI-Powered Gaming Monitors
MSI’s flagship monitor offering at Computex this year is the MEG 321URX QD-OLED AI Gaming Monitor, which boasts a stunning 4K UHD Quantum Dot OLED with all of the top-notch colour reproduction and fluid responsiveness you’d expect from an OLED display, and enhances it with “world first” AI gaming features.
What this means in practice, is that the monitor itself is packing the smarts via “AI Skylight” to offer features and help in games, in real time, entirely by its own analysis of what’s happening on-screen. An example given by MSI is the Monster Hunter franchise, where the monitor could intelligently scan your mini-map for enemies and highlight their presence, or keep an eye on your condition via the existing health, ammo and other bars and display it on the monitor’s built-in RGB Spectrum bar.
You’ll even be able to install and train your own AI models to fit different games and needs via firmware updates on the monitor, which genuinely sounds like a potential game-changer and a whole new way to experience PC gaming.
Aside from its AI smarts, you’re also getting a fluid 240Hz refresh rate, VESA-certified HDR, AMD Freesync Pro, OLED and eye care features, multiple aspect ratio options and a lot more worthy of a gaming monitor.
Moving away from the MEG 321URX QD-OLED monitor and its AI trappings, MSI is also debuting another new technology with the MPG 321CUPF Monitor, which offers a “Dual Mode” VA that gives PC players the best of both worlds – ultra-high framerate, 1080p gaming and gorgeous, cinematic 4K, both natively on the same display.
You’ll be able to switch between the two distinct modes based on your needs, with the first mode offering 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution at 160Hz and the second mode featuring 1080p FHD (1920 x 1080) resolution at a huge 320Hz.
Moving back to the OLED displays, again without the fancy AI features, the MSI MPG 341CQPX QD-OLED gaming monitor is 34-inch ultra-wide beast with a 240Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 connectivity and 1800R curve, using cutting-edge QD-OLED display tech to offer gorgeous visuals and tight response times.
There’s also the smaller and more cost-effective MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2, which packs the same sharp and vibrant image into a 27″ WQHD display with the same 240Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 connectivity.
The Latest In Borderless 120Hz Office Monitors
When it comes Business Time, MSI’s new PRO MP252 E2 monitors feature a four-side bezel-less design to more seamless multi-monitor setups for the ultimate in WFH productivity and desk aesthetics.
They’re decent performers, too, with a 120Hz refresh rate and all of the eye care and efficiency features you’d want from an office-focused monitor to ensure you can work safely and comfortably for as long as you need to.
